Deer

BE AWARE - DEER - BRANDON AND FENTON ROADS:

Reports have come in of "Very near misses" whilst driving in and out of the village, particularly on the Fenton Road (near Ice House Woods), and Brandon Road.

The most occurrences happen when the deer are moving from grazing areas, and normally about dusk and dawn.

Although there's little you can do if they leap out in front of your vehicle, please be vigilant at these hotspots, and if you slow down at these points, that may help..

Now you'll know the Flag Days at Stubton!

Commonwealth DayFlag PlaqueCommemorative Plaque

Two plaques are attached to the flagpole. One commemorates when it was erected in 2000, for the New Millennium; the other informs visitors and residents of the reason for a particular flag flying on that day.

The photos above were captured on Commonwealth Day, 14th March 2016 (celebrated annually on the second Monday in March), and the commemorative plaque photo was taken on 5th February 2020.
